Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2025

1. Service Description

ShelfSafe is a software-as-a-service platform that helps retail businesses track product expiry dates, receive alerts, and monitor waste costs. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service in full.

These terms apply to all users of ShelfSafe, including store owners and team members.

2. User Obligations

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service
  • Upload content that infringes intellectual property rights

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep it up to date.

3. Payment Terms

ShelfSafe is offered on an annual subscription basis. Fees are charged at the start of each billing period and are non-refundable except as described in our Refund Policy.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' written notice. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Failure to pay may result in suspension or termination of your account.

4. Termination

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until that date.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account immediately if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if we are required to do so by law.

Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days before permanent deletion, during which you may request an export.

5. Intellectual Property

ShelfSafe and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of ShelfSafe. You retain ownership of the data you input into the service.

By using the service, you grant ShelfSafe a limited licence to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

6. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShelfSafe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the application. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
